At LRFB Equity Consulting, LLC, we are honored to be trusted partners in advancing racial and social equity within educational institutions. Currently, we are actively engaged with five schools in the Chicagoland area, fostering transformative approaches to equity and justice.
Our work with schools focuses on building sustainable, equity-driven leadership, fostering inclusive learning environments, and deepening community engagement. We support schools in embedding equity practices throughout their leadership and teaching approaches, ensuring inclusivity for all students.
Our Services for Schools:
- Equity-based Strategic Planning: We collaborate with school leaders to implement equity-based strategies for long-term, inclusive change. This involves continuous reflection on leadership practices and leveraging school data to inform decision-making.
- Culturally Responsive Leadership: We equip staff to integrate culturally responsive practices into their daily work by engaging in continuous learning about cultural contexts and student needs. This ensures that all staff are prepared to meet the diverse needs of their students.
- Policy and Practice Transformation: We conduct comprehensive equity audits to identify and dismantle systemic barriers. Our audits draw on student and community voices, challenging exclusionary practices and policies while addressing disparities in areas such as achievement, discipline, and access to enrichment opportunities.
- Equity Audits and Co-Design: Engaging students, parents, and communities, we co-create solutions to promote belonging and inclusivity. Our approach includes using culturally responsive assessment tools and developing teams that continuously explore ways to integrate culturally responsive teaching across the school.
Our Services for School Districts:
- Strategic Equity Frameworks: We create strategic frameworks that align equity with academic success and belonging. Using school and district data, we identify and address opportunity differences driving disparities in academic performance and discipline.
- Equity Policy & Budget Reviews: Our reviews ensure that district policies and budgets are aligned with equity goals, and we work closely with communities to ensure their voices are reflected in these decisions.
- Policy Making and Co-design: We collaborate with school districts to develop equity policies that address exclusionary practices, ensuring that community input is a core part of the process.
- Student Leadership: We empower students to take a central role in shaping district-wide equity initiatives, fostering leadership that reflects their experiences and needs.
Our work is supported by the Center for Equity, Effectiveness, and Efficiency in Local Government (C3E), where our CEO serves as Director.
